Mafia III’s release is just around the corner, and 2K has unveiled some extended gameplay that was shown at both Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show. In the video below, we are introduced to Tony Derazio, Sal Marcano’s merciless underboss. To take out the crime lord, protagonist Lincoln Clay infiltrates the Royal Hotel where Tony resides in his penthouse.
The beginning of the video gives a breakdown of the different districts in New Bordeaux, which is a reimagining of New Orleans in the ’60s. Each area will have its own crime boss to take down, as well as its own distinct aesthetic.
In Mafia III, you’ll have plenty of ways you can approach missions. To take care of Tony Derazio, you can go in guns blazing, take a stealthier route, or call for back up. You’ll be able to storm through the lobby or steal a car that will help you sneak through the hotel’s garage unnoticed.
In addition to the trailer above, 2K also revealed a second trailer recently, which focuses on Lincoln’s arsenal of deadly weapons and how they can best be used. You can watch it below.
Mafia III releases on October 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can read our hands-on impressions for the upcoming game here.
