ASCII Roguelike Brutal Making Its Way To PC

Brutal (stylized as Brut@l), a rogue-like built out of ASCII characters like an old-school PC game, is making its way to PC.

Originally released on console in August, we called Brutal, “a serviceable, stylish rogue-like.”  It offers single and co-op play, and procedurally generated levels. It will be available on PC on February 9.

Our Take
Considering its whole visual premise is based on old-school PC gaming, I’m surprised Brutal didn’t make its way to PC faster. In any case, I enjoyed my look at the game in the Test Chamber video above so I am glad to see it spreading its wings.
