The tabletop role-playing game Pathfinder is getting a video game adaptation. Pathfinder: Kingmaker is an isometric, singleplayer RPG which takes place within the Pathfinder universe.

The project is currently in Kickstarter, with over $310,000 towards its $500,000 goal.

If funded, Pathfinder: Kingmaker will be developed by Owlcat Games. The team is particularly inspired by classic of the genre, such as Baldur’s Gate and Fallout. The narrative of Kingmaker will be directed by genre veteran Chris Avellone, who has worked on Fallout 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, and Prey.

Our Take
With more than a month to go on its Kickstarter, there already seems to be a ton of support for Kingmaker. For fans of the tabletop game, this will be a great opportunity to translate their fantasy adventures to their desktops.
