What started as a small browser game is now one of the world’s most recognizable entertainment properties and Mojang Studios continues to grow its Minecraft IP by expanding the game into different genres. Enter Minecraft Dungeons, an action RPG designed for gamers of all ages and has players facing off against the villainous Arch-Illager and his mob of baddies.
Instead of the classic creation formula that the original game is known for, fans can expect combat and loot-centric gameplay similar to that of a Torchlight or Diablo, but with easy to grasp systems that can be picked up by a wider audience. While the dungeon-crawler can be played solo, Ben Reeves, Joe Juba, and I frankly just miss each other too much and thought we’d take the opportunity to explore the game playing together in co-op.
Fans of the series won’t have long to wait as Minecraft Dungeons will release on Xbox One, Xbox Gamepass, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on May 26, 2020.
